Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration in Columbia, SC seeks a Program Specialist to coordinate the Facility Physician Recruitment Program within the Chief of Staff's office at Dorn VA Health Care System. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, and incentives for physicians.

This role requires close collaboration with HR, universities, and leadership to attract qualified candidates. You will develop outreach strategies, manage pay-for-performance standards, and provide expert guidance

Qualifications

Experience coordinating physician recruitment and placement.
Familiar with Title 38 physicians recruitment processes.
Knowledge of recruitment incentives and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

Explain recruitment and relocation incentives and Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).
Coordinate onboarding steps: suitability, pre-employment physicals, credentialing and privileging.
Serve as SME in recruitment/placement of Title 38 physicians for clinical services.
Develop outreach to locate diverse candidates for hard-to-fill physician roles.
Advise managers on recruitment sources and incentives; collaborate with leadership on pay for performance standards.
Collaborate with Public Affairs to create recruitment marketing campaigns.
Maintain contact with HR, VISN, VACO, and other agencies regarding recruitment issues.
Produce HR metrics reports and track recruitment timelines; prepare workforce trend analyses.
