Job summary

Odyssey Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist for a hospital-based, on-site assignment in Lansing, MI. Work days 7 a.m.–5 p.m. with Q3 call and a dynamic IR team supporting complex cases.

You will perform angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and other IR procedures while benefiting from dedicated credentialing support and 24/7 recruiter assistance. Lodging and mileage support available.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Interventional Radiology (IR).
• Active Michigan medical license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization.
• Care for adult patient population in a hospital-based, Level I trauma setting.
• Collaborate with IR team and APPs to manage cases.
• Assist with credentialing and fast-track onboarding when needed.

The Role:

• Location: Lansing, MI
• Provider: Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist (MD)
• Shift: Days — 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Call Schedule: Q3 call (every third weekday and every third weekend)
• Call Ratio: 1 out of 3 Interventional Radiologists
• Average Cases Per Day: ~8
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based, Level I trauma designation
• IR Team: 3 physicians + 2 APPs (Manager and two APPs supporting IR team)
• Patient Population: Primarily Adult (frequent Geriatric)
• Procedures Required: angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, UFE (uterine fibroid embolization)
• Additional Preferred Procedures: orthopedic, gynecologic, urology cases
• Documentation System/EMR: Not specified
• Requirements: BC in IR, Active MI License, BLS, ACLS
• Credentialing: Estimated 90 days (will fast-track for ASAP need)
