Overview
Physician (Radiology) – Irwin Army Community Hospital, Ft. Riley, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Provide a full scope of diagnostic radiology services.
- Consult, report radiologic diagnostic examinations, and deliver interpretation of X‑ray studies to clinicians.
- Recommend and direct care and treatment of patients.
- Obtain consultation and provide referrals within the department and with other medical elements.
- Provide advice, professional opinions, and written technical studies and reviews upon request by the Chief of the Department of Radiology.
- Submit diagnostic radiology reports.
- Provide training in diagnostic radiology to other physicians and medical students.
- Supervise civilian employees assigned to radiology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements for Physician (Radiology):
- Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a physician from a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
- At least one year of supervised direct service experience in a clinical setting (e.g., internship or first-year residency).
- Successful completion of an accredited residency in Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology, or Radiology, with at least 4 years of equivalent experience and training.
- Submission of transcripts, proof of foreign equivalency (if applicable), copies of license, and proof of graduate training completion.
If selected for a Physician position, salary determination will occur after initial offer acceptance; based on activity compensation panel and market pay.
