Opportunity Information

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Radiation Oncology Physician with brachytherapy experience to join a well-established multidisciplinary care team in Sacramento, CA.

The Radiation Oncology Division has a long tradition of excellence in patient care and clinical research. We have 11 physicians who staff 4 centers and 7 linear accelerators, located in Sacramento, Roseville, Cameron Park and Auburn. We support many specialty programs (HDR for Gyn/H&N/Skin/Prostate, SBRT, LINAC-based SRS and Gamma Knife). We are an active member of NRG Oncology and participate in many cooperative trial groups.

The Sutter Cancer Center offers a comprehensive program, with physicians from a broad range of specialties participating in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Radiation oncologists participate in general and specialty tumor boards, including breast, GI, GU, GYN, lung, neuro/peds and molecular diagnosis/therapy. We collaborate with a diverse group of oncologic surgeons who specialize in ENT, thoracic, colorectal, CNS, GU and GYN malignancies. Many medical oncologists have disease site sub-specialization that adds to the breadth and depth of the program. In addition, radiation oncologists participate in and lead regular disease site-specific meetings across Sutter Health to promote standard of care and areas of excellence.

The position is full time with a focus on gynecologic and prostate malignancies with a heavy emphasison HDR brachytherapy.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large group of multidisciplinary providers and staff.
