Job Opportunity: Sleep-trained Pulmonologist

Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC sleep-trained pulmonologist physician to join a group of 11 physicians in a growing inpatient and outpatient practice, alongside 5 advanced practice providers. The ideal candidate must be fellowship trained in sleep medicine.

Practice Details

• Clinic located adjacent to the hospital
• On-call responsibilities include one physician taking home call on weeknights; weekend coverage involves one physician on Pulmonary Service and another on Intensivist Service
• Ability to provide 100% Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine services
• Benefits include 6 weeks of vacation and 5 administrative days following each 7-day ICU rotation
• Facilities include an 8-bed Sleep Diagnostic Center with an active home sleep apnea testing program, state-of-the-art Imaging Center (X-Ray, CT, MRI, PET/CT), a 28-bed ICU, a 16-bed Pulmonary Acute Care Unit, and a hybrid Neuro ICU/Neuro Acute Unit covered by dedicated Neuro Critical Care Boarded Neuro Intensivists
• Additional support from hospitalists and eICU coverage in the evenings
• Involvement in pulmonary inpatient services at the Heart Hospital
• Faculty opportunity within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Dakota
• Participation in active lung cancer screening, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and EBUS programs
• Recognition as a top 50 US hospital for Pulmonary by US News & World Report
• Participation in weekly Lung Tumor Board and monthly Interstitial Lung Disease multidisciplinary conference
• Utilization of eCARE model for extending access to specialists via technology including eICU, eEmergency, eConsult, ePharmacy, ePrescribing, eLTC, and eStroke
• Compensation package includes a 2-year income guarantee, loan assistance, and comprehensive benefits
