Join our team at the Department of Veterans Medical Center, San Francisco, CA as a Physician – Psychiatry!

Our physicians support the Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) mission to promote and maintain the health, independence, quality of life, and productivity of individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities.

Benefits and Features

  • Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Authorized.
  • Education Debt Reduction Program: Authorized.
  • Expected Salary Range: from $280K to $300K (negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials, and experience).
  • Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
  • Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.
  • Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and possibly 5 days for CME).
  • Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5-year vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% VA contributions.
  • Insurance: Federal health, vision, dental, term life, long-term care (many programs transferable into retirement).
  • Licensure: One full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
  • CME: Possible $1,000/year reimbursement (full-time with board certification).
  • Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage.
  • Contract: No physician employment contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.
