Job description

Immediate need for a Psychiatrist to join a well-established Community Health Primary Care Behavioral Health group in the Orange County area. Let's discuss.

Position Details:
  1. Full-time / benefited

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage patient care in collaboration with other health professionals and the healthcare team to make treatment decisions and achieve health goals.
  2. Ensure high standards of medical and patient care at our clinics, maintaining compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices.
  3. Provide high-quality patient care across various age groups at our sites.
  4. Conduct urgent psychiatric evaluations, initial assessments, and ongoing psychiatric services tailored to each patient, including comprehensive histories, medication reviews, allergies, medical and psychiatric histories, psychosocial and developmental assessments, and mental status examinations.
  5. Formulate diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care, including diagnosis, diagnostic testing, therapeutic modalities (medications), patient education, referrals, and monitoring treatment response.
  6. Manage diagnostic clarity and medication management for patients requiring psychiatric and addiction medications.
  7. Participate in case conferences and collaborate with non-medical behavioral health staff, with knowledge of addiction medication.
  8. Work with patients of all ages.
