MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) at MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join a dynamic medical staff. The Psychiatrist will utilize a diverse, multidisciplinary care team. These care teams are made up of advanced practice professionals, nursing, social work, discharge planning, psychiatric technicians, an employment specialist, programming specialists and a family navigator all leading to a well-rounded compliment to help patients with the care they need with a focus on the complex biopsychosocial presentations that are common in mental healthcare delivery today.

This position offers a good work-life balance to enjoy all that Maine has to offer, including a myriad of outdoor activities, including hiking, skiing, swimming, kayaking, among many other activities.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School.
  • Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.
  • Current and valid license as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine or eligible.
  • Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence.
  • Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
  • Current DEA Registration Certificate.
  • 3+ years' experience inclusive residency and/or fellowship training.
  • Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws
