Job Summary:

Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to improving our community’s health by making quality comprehensive healthcare accessible to all. We strive for a healthy community where everyone is cared for.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team. The Psychiatrist is a member of the cross-disciplinary team that includes health care providers, medical assistants, nurses, behavioral health, and other support staff. The Psychiatrist supports the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by providing primary psychiatric care to patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides primary psychiatric care, including treatment of substance use disorders, for MCHCC patients
2. Provides clinical leadership for the Behavioral Health team
3. Serves as liaison between medical and behavioral care providers as needed
4. Supports group therapy for substance use disordered patients
5. Utilizes EMR in patient care
6. Utilizes multiple resources for staff communication
7. Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

1. Trauma Informed Care approach preferred; training supported
2. Motivational Interviewing training preferred; training supported
3. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

1. Physician’s license to practice in the State of Indiana required
2. DEA registration required
3. State of Indiana license to prescribe controlled substances (CSR)
4. BLS required
5. Board certification/eligibility by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
6. Qualification under the Buprenorphine Waiver Program preferred

1. Ability to perform prolonged periods of time in front of a computer
2. Ability to move between patient care spaces
