Acclaim Health is seeking a Physician for the Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC) in Fort Worth, TX. The role delivers rapid psychiatric evaluation, stabilization, and disposition planning in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, collaborating with residents, APs, nursing, social work, and learners.

The Physician ensures care aligns with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Health guidelines, participates in academic and quality initiatives, and supports patient flow and safe outcomes.

Formación

• Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Residency and/or Fellowship trained in Psychiatry.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting to the psychiatric emergency center.
• Develop and implement stabilization and treatment plans using appropriate interventions in a high-acuity environment.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Supervise and/or mentor psychiatric staff such as advanced practice providers, residents, and trainees.
• Collaborate with other attending providers, nursing leadership, social work, and other allied health professionals to support cohesive care delivery and efficient patient flow.
• Reviews medical charts to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients and families.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC) Physician is responsible for delivering direct clinical care to patients presenting with acute psychiatric emergencies. This position provides rapid psychiatric assessment, stabilization, and disposition planning for patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The PEC Psychiatrist works shifts and collaborates closely with other physicians, residents, advanced practice providers, nursing, social work, learners, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based care. This role supports patient flow, crisis intervention, and timely disposition, including admission, discharge, or referral to appropriate levels of care. This position also supports quality, safety, and operational excellence within the Psychiatric Emergency Center and collaborates with departmental leadership to optimize clinical outcomes and throughput.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting to the psychiatric emergency center.
• Develop and implement stabilization and treatment plans using appropriate interventions in a high-acuity environment.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Supervise and/or mentor psychiatric staff such as advanced practice providers, residents, and trainees.
• Collaborate with other attending providers, nursing leadership, social work, and other allied health professionals to support cohesive care delivery and efficient patient flow.

• Ensures care delivery aligns with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Health guidelines.
• Provides evidence-based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
