St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA, seeks a Program Director to lead the Internal Medicine Residency Program, ensuring high-quality education, patient care, and compliance with ACGME standards. The role oversees curriculum, evaluation, and collaboration with GMEC and the DIO to sustain program certification.
The candidate will coordinate with hospital services to promote professional development and an optimal learning environment across all RRC competencies and sites.
The Program Director is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and general administration of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The Program Director is also responsible for the standards, quality, and reputation of the program. They will be expected to integrate the program with existing hospital services in a manner that enhances value and quality for patients and residents’ educational experiences, as well as promote an optimum environment for professional development. The program director must administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating the residents in each of the ACGME competency areas. The Program Director will collaborate with the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and DIO to prepare and present routine status reports on the program and its residents, as well as meet all required ACGME standards to obtain and continue program certification.

Experience - 3 years of Graduate Medical Education or administrative experience. Applicants with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for Associate Program Director role
Education - M.D.
