Job summary

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH), part of the University of Maryland Medical System, seeks a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist for a 12-shift block schedule (7a-7p / 7p-7a, nights premium). Responsibilities include inpatient pediatric care, level 2 nursery coverage, ED consults, and deliveries without mechanical ventilation.

New grads encouraged; moonlighting and strong admin support available.

Qualifications

License to practice medicine in the state of Maryland.
BC/BE in Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient pediatric care during 12 shifts per 4 weeks.
Care for patients in level 2 nursery and occasional ED consults.
Cover higher risk deliveries; CPAP but no mechanical vent or TPN.
New grads encouraged; supportive, collaborative team.
Moonlighting opportunities available.
Excellent hospital administration support and staff.
Care for neonates starting at 32 weeks gestation and 1500 g.

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has an immediate opening available for a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist.

Job Specifics

Full time position based on flexible schedule of 12 shifts per 4 week block (avg 3 shifts per week).
Shift schedules are 7a-7p, 7p-7a. Majority day shifts unless nights is preferred. Premium for nights!
Easy access to multiple tertiary care centers as well as pediatric sub specialists.
Position includes monitoring of pediatric patients in level 2 nursery, occasional consults in ED, and coverage of higher risk deliveries. Will manage pediatric patients starting at 32 weeks old and 1500 grams. Cpap but no mechanical vent or TPN.
