VHCHealth is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician in McLean to deliver comprehensive healthcare services. The role requires a Doctorate from an accredited medical school, medical/surgical experience, and a Virginia medical license. The Physician will work closely with the healthcare team to meet patient needs while maintaining quality standards and compliance.
Position Title: Physician - Primary Care McLean (Full Time)
Purpose & Scope:
The physician is a member of the healthcare team who works collaboratively with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The scope of practice is defined through the health system’s credentialing and privileging committee.
The Physician supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level. Supports all medical activities including quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs. The role involves providing quality clinical care to patients who have chosen VHC Health in a timely manner to meet their needs.
Education:
Doctorate from an accredited medical school is required.
Experience:
At least one year of medical/surgical experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure:
Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
Physical Requirements:
The work environment may involve physical activities such as exerting force, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, repetitive motions, and finger dexterity. The employee must cope with mental and emotional stress and operate office machinery safely. Ability to perform components of Basic Life Support is required if applicable.
Working Conditions:
Works in well-lit/ventilated clinical settings, subject to interruptions and long hours. May require overtime or on-call work. Routine exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, chemicals, and other hazards. Personal protective equipment is provided. Interacts with patients, families, co-workers, and visitors, including under stressful or hostile conditions.
