Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Physician to provide direct and indirect patient care at the USC Culinary Health Center in Las Vegas. The role focuses on high-risk populations with emphasis on preventive care, chronic disease management and care coordination.

You will supervise staff when needed and participate in after-hours coverage. Candidates must have an MD or DO, complete residency, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills along with confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required with residency completed.
• Experience delivering primary care and diagnostics in a clinical setting.
• Experience with post-acute care transitions and high-risk patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care including exams, evaluations and treatments.
• Document medical histories and prepare reports.
• Counsel patients and refer to specialists as needed.
• Prescribe medications and treatments where appropriate.
• Collaborate with care teams and specialists for high-risk patients.
• Supervise physician assistants and nurse practitioners when needed.
• Adhere to department policies, quality improvement and safety standards.
• Engage in health promotion and prevention programs as assigned.
• Maintain licenses, certifications and professional development.
• Cover after-hours calls when required.
• Manage patients with multiple chronic conditions and complex care transitions.
• Coordinate with care coordination teams for multidisciplinary care.
