Physician – Primary Care

Farmington, Maine – Full‑time position at MaineHealth Franklin Hospital, part of MaineHealth Primary Care Family Medicine department.

Responsibilities

• Join a dynamic team of two physicians and three advanced practice providers working with support staff.
• Provide primary care services including physical exams, women’s health exams, sick visits, well‑child visits, school and sports physicals, and management of chronic health conditions.
• Use on‑site blood work and laboratory services; referral to inpatient care at Franklin Hospital as needed.
• Participate in a 1:6 call rotation and occasionally perform nursing home rounds.
• Teach and mentor nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students from the University of New England’s UNECOM program and Tufts University Medical School.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of Family/Internal‑Medicine residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family/Internal Medicine.
• Family/Internal Medicine experience preferred but not required.
