Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) Gastroenterology Binghamton is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver professional nursing care in the physician practice setting. You will triage patients, support providers, and ensure safe, compassionate patient care while adhering to NY Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

The role is day shift with a 40-hour workweek. Pediatric and ambulatory care experience is preferred, along with a NY RN license and current BLS certification.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional nursing care in the UHS Physician Practice setting, supporting Healthcare Providers and office staff in the coordination and delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to triaging and care disposition of patients, clinical care, assisting providers as needed, facilitating care transitions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

The RN is accountable for maintaining compliance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services Hospitals and Nursing Division policies, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics, and the Patient Bill of Rights. This role promotes a healing and supportive environment, fostering patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

Minimum requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting.

License/Certification:

• Current NY State RN license.
• Documentation of current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days employment.
