Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver professional nursing care in the UHS Physician Practice setting. The RN supports Healthcare Providers and office staff in coordinating and delivering safe, efficient patient care, including triage, clinical care, and care transitions, while upholding NYS Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

The position is based in the UHS Center for Advanced Wound Care with a Day shift and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and care disposition of patients.
• Provide clinical nursing care and assist providers as needed.
• Facilitate care transitions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional nursing care in the UHS Physician Practice setting, supporting Healthcare Providers and office staff in the coordination and delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to triaging and care disposition of patients, clinical care, assisting providers as needed, facilitating care transitions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

The RN is accountable for maintaining compliance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services Hospitals and Nursing Division policies, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics, and the Patient Bill of Rights. This role promotes a healing and supportive environment, fostering patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

• Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
• Compensation Range: $33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting.

Preferred

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting.
• Bachelor's degree

License/Certification

• Current NY State RN license.
• Documentation of current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days employment.
