Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Practice Coordinator to supervise the physician practice operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

You will coordinate patient access, scheduling, chart management, and nursing support in collaboration with hospital leadership. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in healthcare or related fields, with a high school diploma or higher; a Bachelor's is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), or post-secondary education.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field.
• OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1 year of leadership experience in business, nursing or healthcare related field.
• If LPN or RN, licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate all operations to achieve quality and patient safety.
• Responsible for the day to day operations and supervision of the assigned Physician Practice and all its employees.
• Coordinates all practice services including patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, nursing, and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with departmental operational throughput goals.

Works collaboratively with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate all operations in order to achieve and maintain clinical quality, financial viability, patient and visitor safety as well as service excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the day to day operations and supervision of the assigned Physician Practice and all its employees. Responsible for the coordination of all practice services including but not limited to patient access, scheduling, pre‑authorization, chart management, nursing, any procedures and/or other functions. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental operational throughput goals. The job classifications of Practice Coordinator I, II, III share this common job description. The assignment of level is based on the score produced when scope data related to the physician practice.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED
  • High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), or post‑secondary education.
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field.
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1 year of leadership experience in business, nursing or healthcare related field.
  • If LPN or RN, licensure required.
• PREFERRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.
  • Physician practice or other ambulatory care setting management experience.
  • Computer knowledge experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Implementation and maintenance of an electronic medical record.
