Job description

Locations needed: Harrisburg

We are looking for a Podiatrist to diagnose and treat minor or severe injuries and diseases of the feet, ankles, and lower legs. Podiatrist responsibilities include conducting foot and ankle surgeries, prescribing orthotics, and applying treatments for issues like arthritis, fractures, and corns and calluses. To be considered for this role, you should have a doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine and practical experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Ultimately, you will provide our patients with the best treatment based on their condition and help them recover as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities

1. Examine patients' legs to diagnose diseases
2. Perform foot and ankle surgeries (e.g., removing bone spurs)
3. Treat sport-related foot and leg injuries, such as fractures
4. Use various podiatric techniques (like casting and laser therapy) to treat deformities and ailments
5. Prescribe joint pain relief medication and foot orthoses to improve mobility
6. Review patients' medical history
7. Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices
8. Order additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds, and bone density tests) for better diagnosis if necessary

Skills

• Experience as a Podiatrist
• Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
• Familiar with all types of foot problems, including genetic abnormalities and deformities
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children and the elderly
• Empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases
• Up-to-date with the latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine

Job Types: 1 or 2 days a week to full-time
