Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a BE/BC Fellowship trained Microvascular Plastic Surgeon to join our practice. The role encompasses reconstructive and cosmetic surgery with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care in a busy regional center.

Experience in microsurgical breast reconstruction is preferred, with opportunity for free flap lower extremity reconstruction. The team includes two plastic surgeons and three advanced practice providers, with strong teaching opportunities.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in plastic surgery.
• Fellowship trained in microsurgical/microvascular plastic surgery.
• Experience in microsurgical breast reconstruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures including breast and reconstructive surgery.
• Balance inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in a full-time practice.
• Participate in teaching medical students, surgery residents, and IM/FM residents.
• Provide patient care with access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.

• Reconstructive and cosmetic practice with two plastic surgeons and three advanced practice providers
• This is a full-time practice with a balanced mixture of inpatient and outpatient care
• Procedures include general plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, breast and reconstructive surgery, post weight loss surgery
• Experience in microsurgical breast reconstruction is preferred
• Opportunity for free flap lower extremity reconstruction
• The clinic and hospital offer state-of-the-art- facilities and advanced equipment
• Catchment area exceeds one million
• Call is approximately 10 days per month
• Opportunity to teach medical students, surgery residents, and occasionally IM & FM residents
