A leading healthcare provider is recruiting for a full-time Staff Physiatrist at Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The role involves providing clinical services, managing rehabilitation planning, and ensuring quality care for veterans. Candidates should possess a medical degree and hold a valid medical license in the U.S. Preferred experiences in various rehabilitation specialties are highly valued.
Under the direct administrative supervision of the Physical Medicine and Rehab Section Chief, the Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center is currently recruiting for a full-time Staff Physiatrist.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Current VA-employed physicians who met the requirements at their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements.
Basic Requirements:
Preferred Experience: Inpatient Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehab, Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, MSK, EMG/NCV, TBI, SCI, Amputee, Orthopedic. Board Certification preferred. Additional fellowship or certifications are desirable.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform all activities without restrictions. May involve standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs. See VA Directive and Handbook 5019.
