Job summary

SelectHealth – Murray is seeking a part-time physician lead to provide peer review and clinical direction across utilization management, case management, and related processes. The role collaborates with multiple departments to implement policies and improve provider performance and patient outcomes.

The position focuses on preauthorization, appeals, and policy development while supporting NCQA/HEDIS certification efforts and delivering high-quality care within a cost-effective framework.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with Board Certification in specialty.
• Current MD or DO licensure within the State of Utah, Idaho, Nevada or Colorado.
• Five years of experience in clinical practice.
• Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician peer review and clinical direction for utilization management and case management.
• Participate in education for UM/CM and Health Care Services staff.
• Review preauthorization requests and document decisions in care management system.
• Represent Select Health on committees as assigned by Medical Director.
• Assist in policy development and ensure alignment with evidence-based standards.
