WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with nearly 500 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. Our organization places a high value on quality, caring, and compassionate physicians, and we are committed to providing state-of-the-art health care to our patients and the community we serve.
We are currently seeking physicians with an interest and fellowship training in Special Infant Care to join our group in Raleigh, NC. We offer comprehensive services, covering a 48-bed Level 4 NICU at our Raleigh campus, an 8-bed Level 3 Special Care Nursery at our Cary Campus, and a 6-bed Level 3 Special Care Nursery at the North Campus located in North Raleigh. We are a Children’s Hospital with 24/7 pediatric surgery coverage as well as multiple other pediatric subspecialists. We provide therapeutic hypothermia, inhaled nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation capabilities. The Neonatology group currently includes eight neonatologists in a cohesive team-based environment with strong and experienced NNP and PNP support. We have a well-established NICU follow-up clinic staffed by pediatricians trained in high-risk infant follow-up, neonatologists, and PNPs. Call is home-based and approximately once a week.
The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students, and/or APPs within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. The Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
