Ochsner Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Surgeon to join our interdisciplinary team in New Orleans, Louisiana. The candidate will join four other pediatric surgeons in a high-functioning, rapidly growing tertiary/quaternary Children's Hospital, serving patients on pediatric acute floors, PICU, and level IV NICU. Preferred candidates have ECMO experience and training at a pediatric trauma center. Both new graduates and experienced pediatric surgeons are encouraged to apply.

Our comprehensive Ochsner Children's program includes 88 primary care pediatricians across 27 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi, along with over 270 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists. We are the region's leading multispecialty provider for children and young adults, offering services such as congenital heart surgery, transplantation, complex surgical subspecialties, advanced GI and Hepatology, spine surgery, Hematology-Oncology, Cleft Palate/Cranio-Facial Surgery, and a multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics center.

Ochsner Children's cares for patients in a 67-bed Level IV Neonatal ICU, 14-bed PICU, 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, NAEC-accredited level IV Pediatric Emergency Medicine Unit, and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, supported by a 24/7 pediatric and neonatal transport team. We are constructing a new, dedicated 5-story Children's Hospital on our main campus, expected to open in early 2028.

Beyond direct patient care, Ochsner Children's Hospital hosts an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program, teaching residents from the Tulane-Ochsner program and medical students from Tulane and the University of Queensland. We are also establishing the Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine in partnership with Xavier University of Louisiana, currently in LCME accreditation. Our faculty publish extensively and participate in multi-center research and trials.
