Fully Remote • Grand Rapids • Radiologists

Full-time

Description

Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest 100% physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our practice includes 190 radiologists, 40 advanced practice providers, and more than 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.

What we do: We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. Corewell Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital opened in 2011 and employs nearly 200 physicians in more than 50 pediatric specialties and programs. HDVCH is one of the nation's largest neonatal centers with more than 1,200 babies admitted each year.

What we are looking for: We are seeking a remote or Grand Rapids based Pediatric Radiologist to join our team of 12 pediatric radiologists. If remote, this person will cover some daytime hours of 8a to 5p or 7a to 4p EST but 50% or more of the shifts could be time flexible FLEX shifts which would work well for a west coast-or Hawaii based candidate. There will also be a couple of evening (3 to 10 EST) shifts per month and if preferred a significant amount of the shifts could be 3 to 10 EST. If Grand Rapids based, the schedule could be a hybrid with some remote and on site and hours would be similar to the above. On site shifts would be eligible for an additional on-site stipend. Our standard track positions work 39 weeks and 11 weekends and have 13 weeks’ vacation. The weekend shifts would also be pediatric covering 7a to 3p or 3 to 10p EST. This is a partnership track position with full compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

· 100% Pediatric Radiology/No On Site Call Required

· Cover all modalities and service lines, including pediatric neuroradiology

Compensation/Benefits: We offer a $50K recruitment incentive (sign on bonus), competitive compensation plan, stipends for on-site shifts, and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians pay $0 for single or family medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($70,000 in 2025). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we have a brand new 6-week paid parental leave benefit!

Why do you want to do telerad for us?

Although we are based in Michigan, we have a well-established teleradiology practice. We had remote physicians prior to COVID and currently have physicians working in 14 states. We utilize Intelerad PACS, PowerScribe 360 and Clario; we have outstanding IT infrastructure and 24/7 help desk support. Our remote radiologists are encouraged to participate in virtual section, committee and board meetings and their input is essential to our practice decisions. You will have outstanding colleagues working virtually by your side as we have dedicated body, cardiothoracic, ER, neuro, pediatric, musculoskeletal, and ultrasound readers on first and second shifts and body, ER, neuro, and pediatric readers on third shift.

Why do you want to live here? Grand Rapids has earned numerous awards and is considered one of the most desirable places to live in the country! Ranked number 20 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 “Best Places to Live in the U.S.A,” Grand Rapids is Michigan’s second largest city and less than a 60 minute drive to Lake Michigan beach towns such as Holland, Grand Haven, and Saugatuck. Grand Rapids also offers a growing economy, award-winning schools and a craft brewery scene that is one of the best in the nation. Grand Rapids is proud of its traditional museums with substantial art collections, a Grammy-nominated symphony and Broadway Grand Rapids which brings productions to inspire audiences virtually every weekend. The city is home to a minor league baseball team, the “West Michigan Whitecaps” and the “Grand Rapids Griffins” AHL hockey team, both affiliates to professional teams in Detroit.
