Job description

Position Overview

West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurosurgery seek a Pediatric Neurosurgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). Senior candidates will be considered for the position of Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. The candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (foreign educational equivalents considered)
• Eligible for state medical licensure
• Completed a neurosurgery residency program and a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship
• Board certified or board eligible in pediatric neurosurgery
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team in Pediatric Neurosurgery
• Participate in education, research, and outreach programs of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute
• Support the institute’s comprehensive epilepsy and pediatric neurology programs, including a level IV comprehensive epilepsy center and neurodevelopmental services
