West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics are seeking a Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
Depending on operational needs, the candidate may also provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, with expected travel.
The candidate will join the expanding WVU Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center (PBCC) division, which includes:
Our growth includes a new Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center Inpatient unit and an expanded Infusion center in our new Children's hospital.
The successful candidate will practice pediatric neuro-oncology and general hematology/oncology, primarily focusing on clinical care with opportunities for research and quality improvement. They will also teach medical students, residents, and other learners.
All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Our new 150-bed Children's Hospital, opening early 2022, features pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization, GI-endoscopy, and dedicated pediatric anesthesia. It includes 34 pediatric beds, NICU, PICU, Heart Center, and a Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center. WVU Medicine Children's is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, aiming for Level 1.
