Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe is seeking a compassionate pediatric hospitalist to join our team. The role focuses on in-hospital care for well newborns, nursery patients, and older children, with 24/7 in-house coverage and a rotation schedule.

The position includes a faculty appointment through Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and a comprehensive benefits package including retirement, malpractice coverage, vacation, and CME allowance.

Qualifications

• BE/BC Pediatrics, board eligibility/ certification.
• Unrestricted medical license to practice in Michigan.
• DEA registration for controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house pediatric hospitalist coverage 24/7 in rotation.
• Attend deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation.
• Consult in the emergency department as needed and participate in quality improvement.

Job description

Corewell Health is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and energetic pediatric hospitalist to join our team.

Our team provides comprehensive care for well newborns and those in the nursery, managing conditions such as hypoglycemia, mild respiratory distress/hypoxia, intensive phototherapy, and infection workups. Additionally, we care for patients aged 12 years and older admitted to the hospital. We also attend deliveries, perform neonatal resuscitation, and occasionally consult in the emergency department. The group is also involved in quality improvement, clinical protocol creation, professional development, and other scholarly activities. The new physician would work in rotation providing in-house coverage 24/7

Full Time Position: 1.0 FTE, 14 shifts (12 hours each) per month including Day and Night Shifts to provide 24/7 in-house coverage.

• No outpatient work
• Opportunity to work additional shifts for additional income if desired.
