Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care in Dedham, MA seeks an Adolescent Medicine or Med-Pediatrics physician to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to eating disorders across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings.

The role focuses on medical evaluation, management of co-occurring conditions, and collaboration with psychiatrists, dietitians, and nursing staff to ensure holistic care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Adolescent Medicine or Medicine and Pediatrics (both).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain).
• Behavioral health, eating disorder treatment, or hospital-based medicine experience preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to manage medically complex patients.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluations, treatment, and ongoing management for eating disorder patients.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff for integrated care.
• Monitor and manage medical complications related to eating disorders (electrolyte imbalances, malnutrition, refeeding).
• Conduct routine medical assessments and follow-ups including labs and medication management.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families on medical aspects of eating disorders and recovery strategies.
• Support transitions of care, including discharge planning and outpatient coordination.
• Maintain thorough documentation in line with regulatory/acccreditation standards.

Walden is seeking a Adolescent Medicine or Med-Pediatrics Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at our Dedham, MA, location. This physician will play a crucial role in the medical management of patients with eating disorders and co-occurring medical conditions. Pay: $200,000.00-$225,000.00 depending on experience
