Job summary

WVU Medicine in Bridgeport, WV seeks a pathologist to join a well-established hospital practice at United Hospital Center. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical skills and be eligible to obtain a state medical license.

Responsibilities include gross supervision, frozen sections, and work across surgical pathology, cytology, hematopathology, chemical pathology, and blood banking in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and eligibility for state medical license.
• Completed accredited residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Board certified or eligible in both AP and CP by the American Board of Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Gross supervision and frozen sections.
• Surgical biopsies: core, needle, GI and bronchoscopic.
• Cytology, hematopathology, chemical pathology, blood banking.

Pathology opportunity at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. WVU Health System Medical Group (SMG) seeks a pathologist to join a well-established and expanding hospital practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical skills.

Duties:

Successful candidates will work in a team environment with responsibilities in gross supervision and frozen sections; surgical cases including core, needle, GI and bronchoscopic biopsies; cytology; hematopathology; chemical pathology; blood banking.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Applicants must be board certified or eligible in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
