Job summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physician’s Inc. seeks a Dermatologist in Ellicott City, MD to provide comprehensive examination and treatment of patients in the dermatology specialty.

You will order and analyze tests and procedures to inform patient care and perform professional duties with technical skills appropriate to the specialty. The role requires a Doctoral degree in Medicine with 3-5 years of clinical experience, CPR/BLS and ACLS as needed, and board certification/eligibility.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine in area of specialty.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience.
• CPR and BLS are required; ACLS as required by the department.
• Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty.
• Demonstrated ability to promote professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, and/or publishing.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population served and to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide examination and treatment of patients in the dermatology specialty.
• Order and analyze tests and procedures to inform patient care.
• Perform professional duties and technical procedures within dermatology as assigned.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to coordinate patient care.

Performs professional duties and technical procedures of the particular area of specialty to provide examination and treatment of patients. Orders and analyzes appropriate tests and procedures to provide information on patient’s condition; and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Doctoral degree in Medicine in area of specialty
• 3-5 years of clinical experience
• CPR required
• BLS required
• ACLS and/or other relevant certification as required by the department
• Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty
• Demonstrated ability to promote professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, and/or publishing
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific need
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, patient’s families, departmental units, and medical and nursing staff on all essential matters

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
