Job summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physicians seeks a physician to perform professional duties and technical procedures within the specialty to examine and treat patients. The role includes ordering and analyzing pertinent tests to inform patient conditions and other departmental duties as assigned.

The candidate should have a Doctoral degree in Medicine, board certification or eligibility in the specialty, and 3–5 years of clinical experience, with CPR, BLS, and ACLS as required by the department.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine in area of specialty.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience.
• CPR and BLS required.
• ACLS or other department-specific certification.
• Board certification or eligibility in area of specialty.
• Strong professionalism and involvement in teaching/research/publications.
• Ability to apply growth and development knowledge to patient care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide examination and treatment of patients in the specialty area.
• Order and analyze appropriate tests and procedures to inform patient condition.
• Interact with patients, families, and medical staff to coordinate care.

Education

Doctoral degree in Medicine in area of specialty

Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty

3-5 years of clinical experience

CPR

BLS

ACLS and/or other relevant certification as required by the department
