Wellpath sees hundreds of thousands of unique individuals in our facilities monthly, including many who receive direct clinical care. The Physician is responsible for assessing and treating patients’ physical health, conducting exams, coordinating outside referrals, and overseeing clinical care activities provided by ARNPs. The role includes documentation, after-hours on-call responsibilities, and collaboration with psychiatric and interdisciplinary staff to ensure integrated care. Travel may be required; work is primarily in correctional or clinical settings. The physician educates patients and families, ensures safety procedures, and tailors treatment plans to the patient’s age and development.
