Position Summary

WVU School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a Palliative Care Physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, with potential assignments at additional sites in WV, MD, and PA, involving travel.

Responsibilities

• Practice in Palliative Care medicine.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Completed residency in internal or family medicine and fellowship in palliative care.
• Board certified or eligible in Palliative Medicine.

The Section of Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine and Hospice at WVU aims to improve healthcare and quality of life for older adults and those with serious illnesses. Our team provides patient and family-centered care, including inpatient and outpatient services, even in nursing homes.
