Job description

Position: Full-time BC/BE General Otolaryngologist

An affiliate of the University of Michigan Health System is seeking a full-time BC/BE general otolaryngologist to join a strong team in Midland, Michigan.

You will join two board-certified physicians in an extremely busy practice that has served mid-Michigan for over 40 years.

The call schedule is 1:3, covering only one emergency department. This is a hospital-employed position. In April 2016, the practice was named a national 15 Top Health System by Truven Health Analytics.

This successful practice offers a full range of otolaryngology services, including thyroid and parathyroid, rhinology, sleep disorders, breathing, and sinus surgery. An audiologist is employed full-time to dispense hearing aids and perform vestibular testing in the office. The practice is conveniently located near Medical Center-Midland and a state-of-the-art 20,000 square foot outpatient surgery center.

Benefits include competitive compensation, health/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, long/short term disability, CME allowance, professional liability insurance with tail coverage, and paid vacation.

The practice utilizes cutting-edge technology and offers quality innovation, with nationally recognized programs in oncology, neurology, and neurosurgery.

This position offers the possibility of an adjunct appointment in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Michigan, providing opportunities for clinical, educational, and academic collaboration, especially in complex patient care.

Midland offers a rich array of cultural, educational, and recreational activities, including a Class A professional baseball team, a Broadway-caliber Center for the Arts, a symphony orchestra, a world-class tennis facility, and a Civic Ice Arena with multiple rinks. Outdoor activities such as golfing, jogging on a 30-mile paved trail, soccer, cross-country skiing, fishing, and boating are also available. Midland provides a balanced environment for a fulfilling career and personal life.
