Job Description

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a board eligible or board certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our practice in Griffin, GA at Wellstar Spalding Hospital. The physician will be responsible for managing all types of orthopedic patients, including sports medicine, total joint, general orthopedics, and some pediatric cases. General orthopedic call is required. The current team includes one physician and one advanced practice provider.

Wellstar Spalding Hospital, located about an hour south of Atlanta in Griffin, GA, is a 160-bed facility offering comprehensive, personalized care in a friendly setting. Griffin boasts a diverse heritage, dining options, shopping, recreational activities, good schools, and proximity to Atlanta Motor Speedway. The hospital provides services such as EMS, Primary Stroke Center, surgical services, and fast-track minor care.

We are committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate orthopedic care to help patients experience their best lives. Fellowship training in an orthopedic subspecialty such as Adult Reconstruction or Sports Medicine is preferred, but practicing general orthopedics and total joints is also acceptable. Candidates must be willing to take general orthopedic call, see some pediatric patients, and manage fractures.
