Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon, Chico, CA VA Northern California Healthcare System

VA Northern California Health Care System is seeking an Orthopedic Physician to serve Veterans at the Chico VA Outpatient Clinic as an office-based orthopedic surgeon.

The physician will participate in all aspects of outpatient care, including:

1. Outpatient orthopedic care (both invasive and noninvasive) for scheduled and walk-in patients, providing information on risks, benefits, and alternative treatments, and obtaining informed consent for invasive procedures.
2. Managing the delivery of state-of-the-art outpatient orthopedic care, including review of consults/referrals, triage, and forwarding or initiating referrals as clinically indicated.

Salary Range: $347,000 - $390,000

Pay For Performance: Up to $15,000 per year!

Candidate Requirements: 1) US citizen (green card or visa eligible), 2) current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state, 3) board certification.

Incentives: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) offering up to $200,000 over 5 years tax-free, and/or Recruitment Incentive with a minimum 3-year service obligation. Recruitment/relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified candidates.

Benefits: 208 hours (5.2 weeks) paid vacation, 104 hours (2.6 weeks) paid sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, competitive salary, annual performance pay, malpractice coverage with tail, CME allowance, no employment contract, and flexible moonlighting policies.
