The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is seeking a Physician to continue our excellent patient care. Appointment levels available include Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or full Professor, commensurate with experience.

Academic appointment, rank, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and primary board certification. Compensation is highly competitive.

A Brief Overview

Provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specific patient population.

What You Will Do
  • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components as needed.
  • Train and supervise medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
  • Manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function, if applicable.
  • Coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, including continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs as appropriate.
  • Maintain departmental productivity thresholds.
  • Maintain faculty status in good standing with the CWRU SOM, if applicable.
  • Adhere to core physician obligations outlined in the Physician Policy Manual.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
  • Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI), including annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures regarding PHI use.
