Job description

Outstanding opportunity for an Ophthalmologist to join a highly regarded medical group in Phoenix, AZ.

Immediate practice opportunity for a full-time Comprehensive or Special Interest Ophthalmologist.

The department staffs a community hospital with a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area, equipped with State-of-the-art equipment and technology. Optometric and subspecialty support in Retina and Oculoplastic is available.

The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Surgery and will serve as a faculty member in its sponsored graduate medical education programs. Responsibilities include developing the clinical service line, providing inpatient and outpatient general ophthalmology services in both elective and emergent care settings, shared call coverage, teaching residents, and collaborating in research activities. The candidate should be comfortable with a teamwork approach to patient management.

Required qualifications:

• Completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program
• Board certified or board eligible
• Fellowship training in Glaucoma, Anterior Segment, and/or Cornea and External Disease is welcome
• Eligible for an unrestricted Arizona Medical license
• J1 Visa waiver available
