An established industry player is seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist for a brand-new clinic in Stockton, California. Full-time ophthalmology positions are available at the Stockton VA Outpatient Clinic, part of the Northern California Health Care System. The role requires excellent anterior segment surgical skills (Glaucoma Fellowship training optional but preferred). This clinic has 2 Eye MD positions. Stockton VA is part of the NorCal VA system, with Retina/Cornea specialists at Sacramento VA Hospital and a Glaucoma specialist at Martinez VA Outpatient Clinic. The new Stockton VA Outpatient Clinic opens in June 2024 and features state-of-the-art facilities. Surgery will be performed at a private contracted Ambulatory Surgery Center in Stockton.
The Stockton VA Eye Clinic includes a team of 2 full-time MDs, 2 full-time OD’s, 4 Eye Techs, and 2 nurses. It is a modern outpatient facility without an Emergency Department. The position offers significant surgical volume, with potential for resident supervision/teaching at Martinez VA or Sacramento VA if desired. Support staff includes technicians, eye nurses, and on-site lasers (YAG, Argon, and SLT), IOL Master Biometry, Visual Field testing, fundus imaging, optometry services, and an optical shop. The environment is friendly and rewarding, with appreciative patients and a cohesive Eye Team.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Salary ranges from $290,000 to $350,000 per year, depending on experience and fellowship training.
