Physician of Family Medicine
$5000 Sign-On Bonus

Salary : $200,000.00 - $210,000.00

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

The Role

The Physician shall serve as a member of the medical team, responsible for assessing, planning, and providing medical care, evaluating patient outcomes, and promoting the continuum of care in accordance with acceptable standards of care, professional practice, and approved privileges. This work supports the mission and philosophy of Samaritan Daytop Health, Inc.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform history and physical examinations according to current standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  2. Assess patients' conditions and age-specific medical needs; set goals; prescribe appropriate clinical interventions addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and rehabilitative needs.
  3. Document clinical observations, diagnoses, treatment objectives, and patient responses comprehensively.
  4. Utilize an outcome-oriented approach to assess patient responses to prescribed regimens.
  5. Identify educational needs of patients and utilize appropriate resources to meet these needs.
  6. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to plan interventions that meet patient needs promptly and promote the continuum of care.
  7. Prescribe laboratory and diagnostic procedures related to the patient's health status and facilitate appropriate treatment interventions based on results.
  8. Perform direct patient care and procedures such as venipuncture, on-site laboratory tests, and Pap smears, following SDH policies and standards of practice.
  9. When no RN is on duty, direct nursing support staff in setting priorities, organizing workflow, and providing quality care timely.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  2. Currently registered to practice as a Physician in New York State with a specialty in Family Medicine.
  3. Recent experience in outpatient care and managing substance use care.
  4. NYSED MD / DO license.
  5. Board Certified, preferably in Family Medicine.
  6. Valid DEA / ACLS / PALS provider or willingness to enroll upon hire.
  7. Active NPI.
