Job description

Physician – Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) – Full Time in Maine

Lincoln Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital and proud member of MaineHealth, is seeking a full-time Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Physician to join our experienced and collaborative team. You will be part of an established practice of four physicians (two OB/GYNs and two Family Medicine physicians) and two Certified Nurse Midwives, with a shared 1:4 weekend call rotation. Our practice supports a four-day work week and offers the chance to care for patients across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive OB/GYN Care: Deliver full-spectrum OB/GYN services, including outpatient reproductive health, labor and delivery, and major gynecologic surgeries, with a focus on minimally invasive hysterectomy.
  • Inpatient Collaboration: Consult with advanced practice providers (APPs) in inpatient settings to ensure quality care.
  • Patient Panel: Manage and grow your own outpatient panel, fostering long-term patient relationships within a tight-knit community.
  • Emergency Response: Provide timely response for labor, delivery, and gynecologic emergencies.
  • Mentorship and Education: Participate in medical student precepting, contributing to the next generation of healthcare providers.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

Education/Training:

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Obstetrics & Gynecology, or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience providing full-scope OB/GYN care preferred; however, recent graduates with strong residency training will be considered.


Licenses/Certifications:

  • Eligible for licensure in the State of Maine.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing and privileges at designated hospital locations.
