Overview

This position is located at Winn Army Community Hospital, Hinesville, Fort Stewart, GA.

This is an employed civilian Physician (OBGYN) position that offers job security, a competitive base salary, bonuses, moving expenses, full malpractice coverage, up to 26 days paid vacation, 11 days paid Federal Holidays, a sick leave benefit, CME opportunities, and a comprehensive health and retirement benefits package.

Winn Army Community Hospital is a 112-bed community hospital featuring a new Women’s Health and Mammography Center. Our healthcare team provides primary and specialty care for a patient population of over 70,000. As a civilian family practice physician, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional healthcare to Soldiers and Families in our Army and the 3rd Infantry Division.

Supporting specialties include OB/Gyn, general and orthopedic surgery, EENT, Psychiatry, Dermatology, and Urology. The hospital utilizes a full inpatient and outpatient EMR system with digital radiography.

Located in Coastal Georgia, the area offers good schools, community growth, coastal recreation, and golf. Hinesville/Savannah is less than 30 minutes from the beach. The region has a low cost of living, vibrant nightlife, and excellent universities such as Georgia Southern University, Armstrong Atlantic State University, and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Many physicians reside in nearby upscale suburbs like Richmond Hill, Pooler, and Hinesville, which often feature deep water access. These small-town communities provide close proximity to Savannah.

Responsibilities

As an OBGYN Physician, you will:

MAJOR DUTIES

  1. Examine, diagnose, treat, or prescribe for OB/GYN patients, including complex cases. Perform surgical procedures and assist in the Operating Room under minimal supervision, guiding and directing medical staff. Conduct basic colposcopy and treatment of dysplasia. Supervise ancillary personnel and record medical data as required. Review patient histories and progress.
  2. Provide high-level consultative services in OB/GYN, serving as a specialist to other medical officers, especially on complex cases. Be available on call for difficult cases and provide guidance to ward personnel.
  3. Offer high-risk ultrasound clinics, including fetal surveillance and biophysical profiles. Prepare infertility evaluations and provide perinatal risk management education.
  4. Maintain an active, unrestricted medical license. Engage in ongoing CME to stay current with medical literature. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship required
  • Board Eligible/Certified in OB/GYN
  • Possess a current, active, unrestricted medical license from a U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
