A renowned healthcare institution in Chicago seeks a full-time OB-GYN physician to join their Family Planning and General OB-GYN divisions. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution located in downtown Chicago, is seeking a full-time OB-GYN physician to join the Division of Family Planning and the Division of General OB-GYN as an OB Hospitalist.
Candidates should be board eligible or certified in both General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Complex Family Planning. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to resident and fellow education, clinical medicine, and research, in line with Rush’s commitment to academic excellence. The selected candidate will split clinical responsibilities between complex family planning and OB hospitalist duties. Clinical responsibilities in family planning include staffing, operating room procedures, and clinics. OB hospitalist responsibilities include staffing a 10-bed labor and delivery unit with a high-risk obstetrical service.
The team at Rush University Medical Center employs a multidisciplinary, team-based approach, including generalists, OB hospitalists, and subspecialists in maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, family planning, and advanced practice providers. The team collaborates closely with neonatology, anesthesiology, other medical specialties, nursing, and ancillary staff. Rush’s Complex Family Planning Division has an established and growing fellowship, a busy clinical practice, active research and educational programs, and partnerships across the Midwest to expand abortion access.
