Seeking a BC/BE OBGYN to join our hospitalist program at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, CA (Bay Area).
Our OBGYN hospitalist service provides 24/7 in-house care at Eden Medical Center with one provider on duty at a time. Responsibilities include delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, assisting with surgical and OB deliveries, fetal monitoring, ED coverage for OB and Gyn patients, gynecologic consults, and urgent/emergent gynecologic surgeries. Our hospitalists collaborate with local obstetricians and consult with MFM providers at our high-risk sister hospital in Berkeley, CA, to transfer high-risk or preterm patients. In-house specialists such as pediatric hospitalists, trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists, adult medicine hospitalists, emergency medicine providers, and intensivists are available. Assistance for Cesareans and gynecologic cases is provided by private OBGYN groups, with trauma surgeons available for emergency Cesarean assistance if no other OB is in house.
