Description: Seeking locum OB/GYN coverage for urgent needs. Practice setting is in a hospital. Coverage is needed from December 17th to December 24th and December 31st. Call coverage is 24 hours from 7 AM to 7 AM, along with a clinic schedule of about 20 patients. Coverage is required due to one provider being out for personal time. Call ratio is 1 to 4. There are 9 labor and delivery beds and 20 postpartum beds. The practice consists of four physicians and a supporting team of OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, and 3 to 4 nurses each shift. Average nursery admissions are 2 to 3 per day. Average callback per 24-hour shift is less than 1, with calls received from an answering service. Documentation is done through an electronic medical record system. Required procedures include C-sections, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, management of ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and abnormal bleeding. High-risk patients will be managed by maternal-fetal medicine specialists. Unreferred patients will be handled by the laborist for delivery and rounding. Credentialing typically takes 60-90 days, but temporary approvals may be granted for providers with clean backgrounds. Local candidates are preferred, but travel costs will be covered. Providers must have clean backgrounds for consideration. Candidates must be available for the specified dates with no exceptions. Previous work experience in this facility, if any, should be noted.
