The WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a non-invasive cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for faculty position in Uniontown, PA.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease with additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidates will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.
