Position Title

Physician – Nocturnist

Position Summary

The University of Kansas Health System, Olathe Campus, Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Nocturnist who will join the team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfy teaching, research, and academic responsibilities.

Responsibilities

The role offers a dynamic opportunity to deliver comprehensive care on the inpatient service nocturnist team. Patient care is scheduled in shifts, shared equally among team members. Duties include participation in call responsibilities aligned with hospitalist practices, supervisory and triage interaction with house staff, and provision of full sub‑specialty support with the closed ICU at the main campus.

There is a strong emphasis on scholarly pursuits, including collaborative education and research activities with students and fellows. Independent research initiatives are encouraged.

Required Qualifications
  • MD/DO or equivalent
  • Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
