The Department of Radiology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University seeks a subspecialty-trained, full-time Neuroradiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join the Neuroradiology/ENT Division.
Job Description
The division consists of nine faculty members providing high-volume clinical services, interpreting studies across the spectrum of neuroimaging at our Center City and South Philadelphia campuses, as well as at state-of-the-art suburban outpatient imaging centers. The department uses a single IT platform supporting eight regional hospitals. The Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience is the only hospital in the Philadelphia area dedicated to treating central nervous system diseases. The division also offers radiological services for the nationally renowned Wills Eye Hospital.
The department features a highly regarded residency program with forty residents and maintains an ACGME-accredited neuroradiology fellowship with four fellows, along with three combined MSK/neuro MRI fellows. The division collaborates with neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, neurology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, and research PhDs. An active clinical fMRI program is part of the division.
Opportunities abound for clinical research in various areas, including Health Policy research. The Jefferson Integrated Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center (JIMRIC) supports neuroradiology research, with projects such as diffusion imaging of the spinal cord, cortical mapping, fiber tract mapping for functional neurosurgery, and functional imaging for neuro-oncology. There are also R&D opportunities with our machine learning/AI group, data science, and Imaging Informatics.
