Position Overview

We are seeking an outpatient neurology-trained physician to provide high-quality care for adult patients with neurological conditions.

Principal Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations, including medical history, physical assessments, and cognitive evaluations to diagnose neurological diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.
  2. Treat a variety of neurological conditions such as headaches, stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, epilepsy, head trauma, chronic pain, vision and movement disorders, speech, reflex, sensation levels, and spinal cord injuries.
  3. Order and interpret neurological tests like EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, MRI, and CT scans.
  4. Develop personalized treatment plans, including medications, lifestyle changes, physical and occupational therapies, and referrals to specialists.
  5. Monitor behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatments.
  6. Explain neurological tests and imaging results to patients and families.
  7. Provide patient-centered care considering psychosocial and physical needs.
  8. Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure quality care.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Completion of a four-year postgraduate residency in neurology from an accredited U.S. program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
  • Current, unrestricted New York State medical license.
  • Active DEA registration and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility.
  • BLS or ACLS certification.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • 1-3 years of clinical neurology experience.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat diverse neurological conditions effectively.
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and compassionate care.
  • Excellent communication skills and interest in Population Health Management.
